Ear to the Ground
The best in hometown music, arts and theater.
The best in hometown music, arts and theater.
Hello everyone, my name is Liz Burlingame.
I work as the features/schools reporter for the Whidbey News-Times. Thanks for tuning in to my blog which, as you might have guessed, is about music, arts and theater.
Just about every place I’ve ever lived has had a strong arts scene and Oak Harbor is no exception. I spend a lot of time targeting theater shows, concerts, art shows and nightly drink specials (most of which are part my regular job for the paper).
But with events cropping up day-to-day and new artists and musicians streaming on and off the island, it’s hard to be in the know.
So I will attempt to do it for you.
My goals for this blog are (in no particular order), profiles on local weekly radio shows, drink specials, ticket giveaways, book of the week from local book clubs, concert listings, artist interviews and content you probably won’t find on the weekly activities calendar.
Feel free to send me an email or tip at eburlingame@whidbeynewstimes.com. Thanks!
